I've been stuck in a class all weekend but did manage to meet up with my friend Erin and do some quick thrifting during my lunch break. Salvation Army was having a $5 bag sale (LOVE the $5 bag sales!!!) so we grabbed our bags and loaded up!
We found a HUGE pile of hand-knitted hats, mittens and baby booties. All I could think about was some poor ol' granny who had been slaving all day and night to make these beautiful hand-knit goodies. It was all I could do not to grab the whole pile and stuff it in my bag.
I limited myself to this cute hat, some mittens (I CANNOT make mittens to save my life!!) and a pair of booties for my cousin's baby. Thank you little ol' granny!

ReplyDeleteYou scored! Poor little 'ol granny = cute little Tristan! :)
ReplyDeleteThis amazing velvety shawl is an approximately 20"x 90" diagonally knit piece that's long enough to drape knit hats for women yourself in a number of ways.
