I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's day! We sure did! The weather was beautiful and we took advantage of it by going out for a drive, taking Rosco for a walk and taking some photos around town.
Afterwards we came home and continued working on our bottle cap bench project. Adam is building me a small bench by our door and the front and sides are going to be designed with bottle caps. It's a fun project to work on together. (I'll post pictures when it's complete...)
That evening I went to the Wearable Arts show with Molly. This is my second year going and it's always a lot of fun. I think this year was way better than last year though. There were definitely some amazing outfits. One costume was made out of pop tabs and bottle caps. It was a beautiful dress that sparkled and shined when she walked across the stage. There was also a huge dragon made out of old cds and dvds. The Plant People made a costume out of twigs, bark, pine needles and wood. They sent small pieces of wood to people all around the world asking them to write a message of peace and send it back. This was a pretty cool costume and I'd love to see what the messages said. The winning outfit was an old fashion dress made completely out of wood. It was amazing! It is going to the Wearable Arts show in New Zealand next.
